What was the highlight of Acacia Hotel Mbarara
Probably one of the best places to stay in Mbarara.
We chose the facility because of its location close to the university. It was a good decision. The facility is very well maintained. It has a very beautiful garden where you can hang out, eat in the restaurant, have a drink. The rooms are spacious, clean. The restaurant serves excellent food. It is quite quiet, even though there is a busy road next door.
The breakfasts are African-style, so they didn't suit me. Why in a coffee-producing country I don't have it available for breakfast, for example, I don't understand. Here you had to pay extra for coffee. The restaurant staff are quite slow, but the food is great. It's a pity that the facility doesn't have any activities like a swimming pool or a gym.

You could stay in a lodge for a quarter of the price and get the same service.
Good location and receptionist Paul was very friendly and helpful.
The receptionist who checked us in barely spoke to us. She dropped our bags in the room and left without saying anything. Key was left in the door, no information on wifi, breakfast, hot water. Additionally they didn’t clean our room during the day and in the evening they said we had to leave our keys behind if we needed cleaning (another thing the receptionist should have told us upon check in). Moreover on Sunday there was no water from the taps or shower and throughout the whole night there was a bar across the road playing ridiculously loud music that could be heard from all the rooms.
